Flight to End Polio
Rotarians John Ockenfels & Peter Teahan will share dramatic stories about their around-the-world Flight to End Polio
In 2023, Iowa Rotarians and pilots, Peter and John completed an amazing circumnavigation of the globe, when they landed their single engine airplane back home in Cedar Rapids. They had flown a single-engine Cessna T210M craft all the way around the world in 86 days, raising awareness about polio eradication; raising funds for Rotary's End Polio efforts; and administering a few polio vaccines to children in need.
